Repairs are quoted individually after Sergio assesses the piece. The type of work, metal, condition, and any replacement stones affect the quote. You receive an itemized quote before work begins.

Center diamonds of meaningful size come with an independent certificate documenting the exact carat weight, cut grade, colour, and clarity — typically GIA for natural diamonds and IGI for lab-grown, though the grading lab can vary by stone. Smaller accent stones are not individually certified. Independent appraisals for insurance are available on request.

We source natural diamonds through suppliers who follow Kimberley Process standards — an international framework intended to prevent conflict diamonds from entering the supply chain. Documentation varies by stone, and Sergio reviews available grading and provenance paperwork with you before approval. Lab-grown diamonds are selected with lab-origin documentation where applicable.

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. The difference is origin: natural diamonds formed underground over billions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are created in weeks using High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) or Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) techniques. Lab-grown diamonds are usually priced substantially lower than comparable natural stones. Natural centre stones are typically GIA graded, lab-grown centre stones commonly carry IGI grading, and both are real diamonds.

Absolutely. We specialize in setting client-supplied diamonds — whether heirloom stones, personally sourced gems, or diamonds purchased elsewhere. Most custom jewellery pieces are completed in 2 to 3 weeks from design approval — significantly faster than the 6 to 12 week industry average. This is possible because Master Goldsmith Sergio Chamahyan handles every stage in-house at our downtown Toronto studio, from CAD rendering to stone setting to final polish.

Not at all — more than half of our clients come to their first consultation with only a vague idea or a few saved images for inspiration. Sergio will sketch concepts based on your preferences, refine them in 3D CAD, and present a photorealistic rendering of your piece before anything is made. The custom jewellery process is collaborative from start to finish.

Yes. We offer virtual consultations via video call for clients across Ontario and Canada who are unable to visit our downtown Toronto studio. During the call, Sergio walks you through design options, stone selections, and pricing — the same experience as an in-person visit.

We work with 14k and 18k gold in yellow, white, and rose tones, as well as platinum. Yellow gold is classic and warm, white gold offers a modern silvery tone with rhodium plating, and rose gold has a distinctive pink hue. Platinum is the densest and most durable option — naturally hypoallergenic and never needs re-plating. Sergio will advise on the best metal for your design and lifestyle.

Yes. Every piece OROSERGIO creates includes a lifetime warranty on craftsmanship. If a setting loosens, a prong wears, or any manufacturing defect appears, we repair it at no cost. We also provide complimentary cleaning and inspection for all pieces we make — bring your ring in any time for a professional check and polish.

Yes. We resize rings, including pieces purchased elsewhere. Sergio assesses the metal, setting, condition, and size adjustment before quoting. Custom rings are made to your finger size, and in-studio sizing is available at your consultation. Eternity and full-set bands have sizing limits; Sergio will advise on the options for your ring.
