Natural diamonds are the original — formed 1 to 3 billion years ago, roughly 150 kilometres beneath the Earth's surface, under conditions of extreme pressure and temperature. Volcanic eruptions carried them to the surface through kimberlite pipes, where they were eventually discovered and mined.
Every natural diamond is one of a kind. No two stones have the same combination of inclusions, crystal structure, and optical properties. Natural diamonds also hold their value significantly better than lab-grown alternatives. Natural diamond pricing depends on the 4Cs — carat weight, cut quality, colour, and clarity. A well-cut 1-carat natural diamond will cost significantly more than a comparable lab-grown stone, but it also carries the rarity and romance of a billion-year geological origin.

Natural center diamonds of meaningful size come with an independent certificate — typically GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the industry gold standard, and in some cases IGI depending on the stone. The report documents the exact carat weight, cut grade, colour, clarity, and proportions, giving you complete confidence in your purchase. Smaller accent stones are not individually certified. A certificate is different from an appraisal: certification grades the diamond's quality objectively, while an appraisal assigns a monetary value for insurance — independent appraisals are available on request.
